Another busy day!
8:30 - 12:30 | Teaching Class |
12:30 - 2:30 | Lunch the Kids |
2:00 - 5:00 | Tim's teaching practicum / Sue w/ kids to bookstore |
5:45 - 9:00 | Shanghai River Cruise |
Whew, I'm bushed! Tomorrow is another loaded day, and Saturday is a nearby water town.
We left near 6pm for the river cruise. Here's our friend Brian who had his 22nd birthday yesterday. There is no open container law in China, and no, that is not tea he is drinking!
The bus ride to the boat was just too much for Sophie and the daughter of another couple, Elena.
Rows and rows of apartments across from the river boat.
Heather, another one of the teachers, as we're standing around waiting to get on the boat.
There were a lot of out-of-towners from the rest of China, and they all wanted their kids to have pictures with our kids. Peter, Jack and Sophie were quite the celebrities!
People were scrambling to get their pictures taken with Peter and Jack. We should have charged a fee! They got LOTS of stares!
There wasn't enough room on the top deck for everyone, so they put the last 20 of us down below where we couldn't really take pictures unless we lean over several other people and point our cameras out a little window. Very uncomfortable, but That's China! After 20 minutes they cycled us up to the top deck and moved the people up on top down below.
On the below right, are our fearless tour guide, Larry, and Alexis, the woman that will be coming to Hangzhou with us.
Peter and Jack, enjoying a well deserved seat as they gazed out at the city lights.
Jack along with his buddies, Dan and Brian!
Just in case anyone out there is interested!
